With AltVel page the MFD display shows a graph of future altitude, velocity, deceleration and incoming heat flux.

The above screen shows the typical hypersonic phugoid, due to non equilibrium condition at reentry interface.

In this second image you can see a tipical path of a lifting veicle that bounces in the upper atmosphere before langing.

The upper graph has two lines, one for altitude (green) and the other for velocity (gray).  At each bounce air slows the ship.

The second graph show deceleration, that is very low at high alitude, but increase as the ship encounters denser atmosphere.

The last graph show incoming heating. It's not possible to translate into temperature because this depends on ship geometry.

On the lower right there is total distance that the ship will travel before landing, orizontal dashed lines are every 10000Km and every 1000Km on last trip segment.
